In the United States, Japan, Vietnam, India and Jordan, I have instructed at the secondary level, and with a broad range of media, processes and concepts in both historic techniques and contemporary art practices. Courses that I have recently instructed include: International Baccalaureate Visual Arts Diploma, Art Foundations, Advanced Art, Printmaking, Ceramics, and Digital Photography.   As in my life, my approach to arts education is rooted in taking risks. I model a curious and investigative life, which empowers students to do the same.  I strive to inspire and support a reckoning of self worth and confidence in all of my students, honoring their journey as a maker.  My students are sparked by and delve deeply into personal identity, social justice, and contemporary art topic narratives. Their investigative research merges process, an art history context, and developing concepts into studio work that is both provocative and genuine. They learn to interpret, articulate, curate and present exhibitions of their work, creating strong portfolios for higher education admissions. My students have been accepted to top schools across the world including Parsons Paris, Pratt Institute, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Rhode Island School of Design, and NYU.
